Ben Uyeda at HomeMade Modern has put together a how-to on creating a set of handsome concrete nesting tables using little more than a Lego brick mold and Quikrete Countertop Mix. And no, you don’t sacrifice the Legos. A little non-abrasive soap and water will have them back in action in no time. He says the project only cost him $15 in materials and 6 hours of his time.

  1. Daniel Fleck says:

6 hours of time if you have all the Lego you need without searching through a giant bin and if you don’t include concrete curing time.

Also these tables are in serious need of reinforcement. I can see them crumbling in a stiff wind. Shouldn’t be that hard to throw some chicken wire in there just to hold it together.
