Memorializing a Friend’s Passed Pet With a Carved-Wood Pug

Our pets are huge parts of our families, and the passing of one affects its owners in profound ways. When the pug of a friend of Reddit user Tyus died recently, he decided to make her a wood carving in honor of the doggie. “I gave it to her yesterday. She cried,” he comments. We’re crying a little bit too. [reddit]

Basic shape. Wood is heartpine, salvaged from an old barn.
“After first sanding and eye fitting. The eyes are just plastic craft beads. I pressure fit them in place, and set them with wood glue in the end.”
