Submissions and preliminary judging are now over. Five finalists have been chosen by public voting and a panel of judges from Make: and Cornell University.

The judging criteria are:

• Application to a real world problem or need (30%)
• Commercial viability and target market (30%)
• Originality of idea or product (35%)
• Quality of submission materials and documentation of the prototype (15%)
