Downton Abbey is full of characters, but it’s the building itself that steals the show as this incredible halloween costume made by Rod Cockerham of Cockeyed.
Due to a gross misunderstanding of the term “Costume Drama”, I put together a Downton Abbey castle for halloween this year.
Made from foam board covered in inkjet prints of the actual building used in the show, each print had to be cut out and glued onto the foam board body of the costume using spray glue.
The finished results speak for themselves and the tedious construction of the costume was definitely time well spent. This costume really captures the juxtaposition of dignified elegance and endearing awkwardness of that epitomizes the television show!
