Proof positive that crafty inspiration can come from anywhere? The surprisingly large array of tampon and maxipad accessories available on Etsy. ThreeGreenApples tends to use fun Japanese import fabrics in her “Pursonals”, while AbbeyChristine keeps her “Aunt Flo Tampon Cases” old school with colorful felt and embroidery stitches.
Accessories this cute almost make menstruation seem fun! Almost.

The diva cup makes menstruation if not fun, at least easier and it’s good for the environment! I love mine and I even made a cute carrying pouch for it :)
those are cute and all, but there are so many other menstrual products on etsy you could have featured. there’s a ton of reusable pads, and accessories for them. and i think the diva cup does make menstruation fun, because you can poor the blood out and squish it in your fingers. and since it’s not all absorbed on anything, it doesn’t smell bad or seem gross.
really i don’t even see a need for these things. those items are already packaged, i can just throw them in my bag. but a wet bag for my used reusable pad? well, that’s pretty damned important.
oh, and not to mention all the other cloth pads out there, and all the tutorials on how to make your own.
