We’re getting down to the final days of the robot plant contest, so if you’ve been thinking of building an entry, you should get working on it! There’s still time to finish up your design, or even start and build one if you’re on holiday break. If you’ve been thinking about building a cool reactive project, this could be a great excuse — and we have some excellent prizes for the top projects, as well!
So, the details. Basically, we’re looking for cool projects that are battery powered and can react to things around them. To qualify, the entry must be powered by a battery, have some plant-like quality, and be capable of responding to input from its environment. Other than that, it’s up to you. You could make something as simple as one of the pummers that were the inspiration for the contest, or as complicated as you can dream it. The contest deadline is Wednesday, December 22nd at 11:59PM PST, so you’ll have to get your entry finished up by them. So, get your plant built, and head over to the entry page to submit it. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Shown above is HandyManEric’s prototype design for a fly trap robot, which looks pretty awesome.
