Build Your Own Firefox Search Engine

Images-42 Make reader Ben made us a MAKE search engine for Firefox! I learned how to do it from here and using that I made one for a few sites before creating one for you. if you decide publish it: great. if not: it’s fine by me, as it was more of a fun project that I just wanted to try and pull off. I attached the (short) code and the icon that should appear with it, which is the same one from the make blog. Brickshelf – LEGO projects

Under the “Member search” try “Legomaster” (you will want the first one listed and look at his Jamocklaquat folder first!) and also look for member “Klaupacius”. You should do a story on these guys, plus a group of others building giant LEGO robots. Link.

There are several web sites devoted to researching and exposing these fake stories. The same sort of thing happens in the world of food and cooking, although on a much smaller scale. This page is my answer. Link.

Mouse For those who want to build a “real” mousey bot. Robotic scientists in China have succeeded in ‘controlling’ live mice. Experts at the robot research centre in Shandong Technology University controlled white mice by stimulating micro-electrodes on their heads. The mice obeyed computer-generated commands to, in succession, “turn left”, “turn right” and “move forward”. Link.
