Francisco writes – “Amazing electronic DIY projects and absolutely incredible craftmanship. The Peasant is dedicated to inexpensive, easy, and fun Do-It-Yourself electronics projects, particularly those which involve music production and reproduction as well as alternative energy. The color organ stars shown are built point to point, using a technique that I had never seen before. A MUST to check out if you’ve ever soldered anything!”Link.
Make your own LED tank top “84 LEDs, a microcontroller and battery were sewn onto a tank top with conductive thread to create a wearable LED matrix display…the shirt is initialized with a glider on the back of the shirt and a blinker on the front. Periodically, a new glider is added to the back of the shirt. The tank top “board” for the Game of Life is a torus; the cells on the top row of the tank top are neighbors to the cells on the bottom row and vice versa.”Link.
Eltoozero of www.destruc.tv writes “I built this case mod to be a nearly completely authentic looking Mac Classic, but with a Mac Mini inside, playing DVD’s through the floppy and running OSX, except it’s black.” Eltoozero said he’d write up more about his project if there is interest, so post up in the comments! A Flickr photo of a crazy tasy roll-film pinhole camera made from a SPAM tin. The Maker writes “This is my newest camera in my collection. It takes 120 roll film and yields 8-12 exposures.” The film is advanced using a wingnut, the pinhole is covered with tape when not in use, best of all the photos are really great! [via] Link.
MAKE Flickr photo pool member Jay Dugger has a photo of “TiVO” for you car, it looks like he turned a personal recorder – “The DejaView Camwear (a device that records constantly) into a BlackBox for cars. At the press of a button it writes the previous thirty seconds to disk. Just the thing in case of an accident.” Link.
Seth’s Atari meets Xbox 360 mod on Informit.com “The Xbox 360 represents a significant step forward in gaming and home media integration. The Atari 2600 was major step in gaming and home entertainment, so it seems appropriate that Seth Fogie modded his Xbox 360 to fit inside a 2600 case to create the Atari-Xbox 3600. This article shows you how he did it.” [via] Link.
Papydom writes “I love my Sony DSC 7 camera. It is really thin, and I can finally go to a wedding or a family party with a camera in my pocket and still have a straight jacket. The point is that it is so thin you cannot screw a regular tripod in it. You have to use an adapter that looks like a big socket for the camera, and accepts a regular tripod screw. This adapter is not heavy, but it is too big for my pockets. So I decided to build my own accessory. I call it the “L”-pod, because this is its shape when in use, as you can see in the last pictures.”Link.
