Here’s a project that’s definitely worth the trip to the hardware store. David from Cheltenham Road wrote this affordable decorative luminaries tutorial for Mod Podge Rocks, showing how easy it is to turn metal plates into mood lighting. They definitely look much nicer (and sturdier) than the usual paper bag!
Behold the awesome power of the LED Klingon Coffee Table by Nick Woodrow. Not only does this hansom attack ready furnishing dazzle with brightly colored lights on its working surface, but it also features intense electric blue ground effects and simulated transparent aluminum structural support for maximum visual integrity.
To make an already-overlong story short, this stuff actually works pretty well. And considering what a ridiculous idea upholstery spray paint is, in the first place, it works almost *astoundingly* well.
M Design of Montreal takes discarded furniture and hacks the disparate parts into new home furnishings in their “Project Scrap” series. We especially dig the bureau drawers flipped sideways and turned into shelving units. [via Dude Craft]
