Similar to a traditional clock, the Arduino displays the time on some 7-Segment LED displays. A little more unusual is the fact that it also strikes the hours on the fire extinguisher. Just remember, fire extinguishers will explode if hit too hard. You might want to use an old, and empty, one for this project. […]
Having a remote control pass data, via an Arduino and the serial port, can be a great addition to a lot of projects. This is not the most detailed of builds, but I think there is enough information there for anyone that is already tinkering with the Arduino. There is a link to the sketch […]
Calculating Danmark incorporates an old 7-segment calculator and an Arduino to make a physical representation of Second Life’s virtual economics. I really it when the physical and virtual worlds are combined into a piece of artwork. Calculating Danmark is a comment to how Second Life is branded on its economical possibilities, to such an extent […]
Keith has a nice write-up about building his first Arduino shield. He admits the results aren’t exactly beautiful, but it works. When you don’t have enough time to order a proto-shield, make it! – Link Related: HOW TO – Arduino breadboard shield – $10 & 10 mins – Link Buy one at the MAKE store […]
Most Arduinians. . . err Arduinoers . . . ok – ‘Arduino fans’ may have already seen this, but for those who haven’t: The Arduino Programming Notebook by Brain W. Evans is a straightforward rundown of the basic code used with the ever-popular open-source platform. It’s similar to what can be found on the Arduino.cc […]
The TrampoLine is an experimental music artwork that is controlled by an Arduino. It has a very interesting control scheme; here is how the creators describe it. The structure is built around a control handle, which is suspended by 8 flexible sensors. These can be plucked to produce sounds, whilst the bowl itself can be […]
