“La Petite Maison,” A Dollhouse Five Years in the Making

Dollhouse and French culture enthusiast Linda Carswell poured her passions into a productive pastime for five years with this exquisitely detailed dollhouse that she christened “La Petite Maison.”

The detail in this dollhouse almost seems to defy the laws of physics as it somehow appears to have more idiosyncrasies to it than an actual house. The objects in the dollhouse are a combination of things that she found in her travels, sourced from artisans, and kits that she built herself.

Outfitted head to toe with working light fixtures and beautifully crafted pieces of furniture, it even features a pile of hand written letters. C’est magnifique!

Although Carswell is finished with this particular dollhouse, she has since moved on to new miniature projects that you can follow on her blog Une Petite Folie.
