This past Saturday, the Exploratorium’s Tinkering Studio once again partnered with MAKE magazine to host 2012’s first Open MAKE session, Toys, which featured hands-on activities, demonstrations, and guest artists and makers, many of whom were interviewed live by MAKE publisher Dale Dougherty.
Our pal Bilal Ghalib and Alex Hornstein have embarked on a fun, educational road trip. They’ve packed a Prius with 3D printers, dubbed it the Pocket Factory, and are traveling around the country exposing people to 3D printing and the potential of desktop manufacturing.
Come to the Exploratorium this weekend as the Tinkering Studio hosts the first of four Open MAKE Saturdays. It runs from 10am to 2pm on the third Saturday of each month through April.
