I was asked by Fox & Friends to come on their show and do a segment about last minute DIY Halloween costumes on Sunday. It was a CRAFT-centric day as our own Haley modeled a vintage stewardess/Pan Am costume, and our own Eggs and Bacon costume took center stage on Gracie and my friend Dejon. It was a really fun day! It’s that time of year again folks! Your and my favorite maker holiday is nearly here: Halloween! I’m certain many of you have already started fabricating your ingenious costumes, fantastic props and devilishly delectable edibles.
Tony Regalbuto’s father has a penchant for decorating the family’s front yard with whimsical, sometimes frightening, humanoid decorations. Many of the characters are based around Posables, a system of configurable mannequins demonstrated at Maker Faire Bay Area 2011. These seem to be the perfect template for creating scary (animatronic?) ghouls, monsters, and goblins for this Halloween season.
