There's a billion and one webpages about homebrew antennas for pc users. as a full-time RV traveler, i frequently find myself just out of range of a network whereever i might be parked for the night, so i was pleased to find something that discussed a solution specifically for apple users. so take your greasy pringles can and sod-off, hal.

This article was interesting for the 2% of the readership that use Apples.
It would be more in keeping with Make's mission to talk about fabricating something that would extend the range of any kind of wireless networking. Try googling pringles wireless.
Then, it would be good to see if there's a homebrew antenna solution from the receiving side, to make the PC Card highly directional -- or even the internal wireless capability of many notebooks. I'm thinking a cross between a space blanket and a flash umbrella. Perhaps a collapsing satellite TV antenna for focusing wireless transmissions.
