before i try to do this, do you think it is possible for a 13 year old to do this? i am very computer smart, but not very good at making my own programs, so before i start, can you rate on a scale of 1-10 how hard this is? thanks

  2. Philip Torrone says:

    well… its kinda hard.. i would say…………….

    between 1-10?

    i’d say..

    OVER 9000!

  3. Jaki says:

    haha, maybe a 10,000

I’ve been coding for a while, but working with all the Linux GUI’s and the C++ code have given a good share of sleepless nights, however, I don’t want to disuade anyone from attempting to make homebrew apps, we need more people to contribute =]

  4. hard says:

only if you are a noob at writing scripts…

    and its was a 7 not 9000!!!

I’ve been programming for years by starting with GML. I’m not sure if it’s a good place for someone to start, but after gaining a great understanding of that I was also led to understand other languages as well. Including C++, Java, and others. I do not include HTML, because that’s so basic a monkey could do it blindfolded. Metaphorically speaking that is. In other words it’s probably the easiest. And also there are people all over the internet that can teach you things about HTML. All in all the easiest.
As for making homebrew apps for the PSP I’d give a dificulty rating of about 6.5. Once you’ve had experience this stuff is easy. I start when I was 12 and I am 16 now. 4 years isn’t much, so you should be just as capable of learning.
