Makers – anyone out there try these? Or want to cook up a review for MAKE?

His book on bicycles is what got me started see:http://www.flickr.com/photos/thethompsonfive/sets/72157594146282774/

I’ve never done any of his projects from start to finish, but I’d be happy to cook something up if it gets me in to MAKE.

Bought his first book, Bicycle Builder’s Bonanza and I’m HOOKED. So far have built one recumbent bicycle and now working on building his latest (uniquely designed) racing trike. His instructions are so well done, any half-wit can build really great things. I’m waiting to get his latest book 101 SPY GADGETS…His forum is a friendly, supportive place to share ideas and get help with projects.

_Bicycle Builder’s Bonanza_ is definitely excellent. I haven’t built any of the projects in it verbatim, but it’s been an invaluable reference for the dozens of little sub-procedures each one involves. If “working on your bike” involves a hacksaw, it’s the book for you.
