    They’re not really drag racing, so much as actually *dragging* things… it’s a tractor pull. (see the wikipedia entry on “tractor pull”)

    The trailer-looking thing attached to the back of these tractors (which are indeed tricked-out, and are at least as loud as dragsters) is called a “sled”, and it gets progressively more resistive as it goes along, so the one that pulls the farthest, wins.

    This isn’t uncommon in tractor-ish areas of the U.S. at county and state fairs…
