J A Ollinger sent in one of my favorites projects from Sci-Toys in, building a crystal radio out of household items –
“Step-by-step instructions on how to build simple radios using common household goods. This is part of a larger section on building simple radios, but this page was particularly interesting (like how to make a capacitor out of tin foil and wax paper).” – Link.

I’ve been working with computers for years but have always wanted to get “down and dirty” with electronic components. This has to be one of the best written articles on simple electronics I have ever read. If this guy’s other articles are as good as this one then I’m pretty sure this will be a good jumping off point for my electronics tinkering.
