DIY: Personal Hygiene Containers If you wear contact lenses, you probably have an overabundance of contact lens cases lying around. With a little creative thinking and very little grunt work, you can reuse them instead of disposing of them. Simply cut the case in two, smooth out the edges and now you have a pair of pill cases, earplug holders, lip balm, etc. Just make sure to label your new found cases so you don’t smear hand lotion on your lips.
DIY: Replica Satellite Bowl This fruit bowl is a very accurate replica of MOMA’s “Satellite Bowl” that you can easily build yourself. Do yourself a favor and order Chinese and ask for extra chopsticks. This design simply says align and rubber band together, but we recommend thinking about wood glue or an inelastic tie for added stability. Either way, in about 5 minutes you have a simple modern bowl at your disposal. It looks very bit as good as the MOMA version and is it won’t put a hurtin’ on your pocketbook.
Swapatorium: “A Journey Through Junkland” Finally, what do you get when you mix modern technology (blogs) with antique and vintage objects?
