Tim O’Reilly points out this hypnotic demonstration by Lucky Dragons – “PEACE ON EARTH” brings all radio stations together via frequency modulation –
two radios with home-made autotune on every signal received. every station is in tune with every other station. even static is in tune. peace on earth.
If current trends are any indication, mainstream radio will soon sound similar to this without modification (zing!)

I don’t get the premis. Putting two sound sources into the same input would give you the same weird noise effect. Digital tuners sort out this kind of thing on my radio.
I’m not sure I follow you – putting 2 audio signals into the same input would more or less mix them equally (depending on impedance + other variables I suppose)
The ‘auto-tune’ effect employed in the above vid is augmenting the pitch of each signal, forcing them to become “in tune” with each other.
Wikipedia has more on auto-tune –
