Making a fist closes a circuit and lights up the LED arrows on the backs of the hands. 3V coin cells are accessible, but concealed, at the glove cuffs. The conductive thread in the fingertips also enables gloves-on touchscreen use. [via adafruit]

I expect motorists to have headlights so they can see it when I’m turning. I only need my front and rear lights so motorists can see me from a distance.
You have a better standard of motorist, I’m over 6ft and wear luminous Lycra when cycling, I’ve been told more than once that “Sorry, I didn’t see you” when voicing my displeasure at being run off the road
