We had fun again this year seeking out and nominating the most maker-friendly “mainstream” companies to recognize for their outstanding contributions to DIY/DIWO culture. The nominations are now closed and the polls are open! Tell your friends, family, and hackerspace comrades. Vote to determine which of our sixteen nominees will receive a MAKE Magazine Industry Maker Award at Maker Faire New York (Sept 29 & 30).

Polls close at 11:59PM PT on September 24.

Thanks again to all our nominees for going that extra mile. No matter who takes home the trophies, none of you would have been nominated if you hadn’t already distinguished yourselves, in some way, by embracing and/or inspiring maker culture.

Good luck! And see you in New York City!

  1. Uhm… where the heck do we vote? I don’t see a link anywhere, and teh main Makeys page still lists the 2011 nominees…

    • Ah – now the poll is showing up. It may have been blocked by AdBlock on my other machine.

Just in case anyone else is having the same problem: you should see a poll just above where it says “Thanks again to all our nominees…”.
