Road to Maker Faire Challenge New York

After two years of bringing the Road to Maker Faire Challenge to the Bay Area Maker Faire, we’re pleased to bring the Challenge to New York City for World Maker Faire. Presented by Esurance, one lucky maker will be rewarded with $2,500 to travel with their project to the city of five boroughs this September 21st & 22nd. Several dozen makers have submitted projects to be considered. But first we are enlisting your help to narrow the field of candidates based on what you would like to see rewarded and see at World Maker Faire.

From now until 11:59pm PT on August 13, 2013, you can vote for the project/s you most want to win.

Here are some pointers to summarize the process:

  • You can vote once per project every 24 hours.
  • Vote for as many projects as you wish within that 24 hour period.
  • Scroll through the project images below to read a bit about each project, and click ‘Vote Now for this project’ to do exactly that.
  • If you really like a project, you should share it’s Vote Now link on the social channel of your choice!

When the round of public voting is concluded, the top 10 finalists with the most votes will then be reviewed by a panel of judges. Based on the criteria of the Challenge the judges will select the Grand Prize winner and two runners-up. Help a maker’s dream come true by sending them to World Maker Faire with their awesome project in tow! Cast your votes now:
