Steve Hoefer came up with this super simple method for making a coin cell battery holder out of common office supplies. All it takes is a binder clip, some electrical tape, and some spare wire. These batteries can be a huge pain to connect up if you don’t happen to have the proper clip for them, so I could definitely see this coming in handy.

Binder clips will hold the battery securely, but I wonder if they might be a little too secure. I don’t know if the pressure the clip puts on the battery is good for the battery.
You need to solder pins to the clip so you can poke them into the breadboard to keep the battery in place. The pins can then be one of the battery contacts so you need only one wire to connect the other contact.
Might want to add some resistors for those LEDs, though.
Nice and simple!
