I’m attempting to slowly replaces my entire wardrobe that no longer fits me with either hand made clothing, or up-cycled altered things. This book would really help me, dresses are harder than other articles of clothing for me to make.

Wendy’s books are so inspiring and her do-it-yourself message is really empowering. I’m dying to get my hands on this book so I can ditch all these drab business clothes and really express myself with hand-made dresses.

I was just looking at this book over the weekend. I have such a hard time finding dresses to fit my body shape and I am eager to get into sewing more. I have been knitting for about 5 years, but would like to try to make garments that would be more suitable for Southern California. This book is full of great patterns and inspiration.

My sewing skills are somewhere between intermediate and advance. I’ve been trying to work my own designs and I think that this book would help me show me construction and allow room to understand how to make a dress fit well. Also, I’d like to expand my wardrobe with items that look good on me, effortlessly.

My daughter and grand-daughter got a sewing machine for christmas and this would be the perfect book to get to teach them how to design and sew clothes. They both love dresses and I love the idea of doing it yourself and making it your own. What a great book idea.

I’m dying to make myself some flattering dresses from the fabric I’ve collected over the past couple of years from thrift stores. But I need someone to talk me through the adjustments I need to make for the dresses to actually flatter me. Wendy’s the one!
