Vintage movie cameras are beautiful, if somewhat obsolete, objects, but many are languishing on shelves in attics and basements instead of seeing the world like they were designed to do. Liberate a vintage movie camera by giving it a second life as a charming little handbag, complete with an LED in the lens, with this fantastic tutorial by Instructables member lonesoulsurfer.

So why use a Brownie movie camera for this mod[?] Firstly the camera has a side door that comes right off. This makes it really easy to add a couple of hinges to create the opening to the bag. Also, there is a fair bit of room inside once you remove the spring mechanism. Lastly, they are very easy to hack! Everything comes apart simply, and can be just as easily be put back together.
