A recent article in The New York Times describes a work by Amor Muniz, called Maquila R4, which consists of a mobile factory that she transports by bicycle to temporarily employ people to work on electronic embroidery pieces. The workers are hired on a first come first serve basis and paid a much higher wage than the average wage in Mexico.
