Donna from As the Card Rack Turns repurposed a parmesan cheese shaker into a storage container and dispenser for smaller gage twine and ribbon. Her cheese shaker storage idea is great solution for bestowing order on your crafting or your wrapping space this holiday season. And, as an added bonus, she also included a roundup of other twine storage options from across the crafty web in her post.

This is an absolutely smart and creative way of using a shaker for storage of twines. My partner tried it and she loves how it was able to organize her twines. Of course, one needs to properly put inside the twines, otherwise it will just be too tedious to pull it out.
