Jonathan Lippincott, author of Large Scale, shared a photographic history of the sculptures made at his family’s fabrication shop/gallery, Lippincott, Inc. Lippincott makers prototyped, built, and installed a huge percentage of the large-scale iconic steel art works of the 60s and 70s. Jonathan, pictured above in front of the largest piece Lippincott ever made, got to skip school and be present for the day it left the shop. You can find his book about his family’s unusual business, Large Scale, at bookstores near you.
