BIG_AL writes in with his electric trike made from a Powerwheels kids toy – “this is what happens when i get ahold of a welder. the switch runs to the handlebars and its a momentary on rocker switch that i can push with my thumb. when i get the new battery im going to rewire it so i can use the shifter from the hotwheels jeep for low speed, high speed, and reverse. mounted the axle where the back axle goes on the bike and then welded it in place. then i slid the motors on and then positioned them with zip ties. then the wheels slid on and i put washers on and welded the washers on to the axle to hold the wheels on. later on me and trev added another battery in paralell so that we could get twice the amperage considering its only got 14 amps per battery. im going to buy a 230 amp tractor battery for it soon.”Link.
