Sun melted sand, nothing, how about those solar powered steam tractors!
Wouldn’t this make glass?
Clearly the “inventor” didn’t do his math, or at least ever try to boil water with solar power, given the small size of his lenses…
I used to melt pennies with my lenses. You can do it with any fresnel lens from an overhead projector.
…salvaging salt, iodine, flour, gold etc.
Flour. From sea water. And here I thought that flour came from wheat. Silly me.
It does mention that some kind of tread would make the road “skid proof”. I imagine that would last about a year .
