Apparently, no one in comedy group The Station was able to get the game working when they were kids. Did you have any success? I don’t think I’ve ever actually played the game, but can attest to having seen a working life-sized version at Maker Faire:

In true parody form, they also have a making-of video. [via neatorama]

  1. Mousetrap (the board game) worked great! You just had to put the contraption together.

    It was super nerdy fun.

    Wish I still had mine.

  2. It worked all the time. In fact, I’m pretty sure any kid with a couple minutes on their hands could get it to work with minimal problems. Chalk another outstanding gold star up for elements of our popular “culture”. Are we sure that “The Station” would be able to find their way out of a wet paper bag?

  3. Maybe production quality has gone down over the years, but the game units produced when I was a kid worked fine. I hope this video will get plenty of response videos to let us know if that’s the case.
