Weekend Watch: Building Custom Gaming Equipment with Lyberty5

There are very few things more coveted by gamers than custom systems. Those who build these Frankenstein-esque handhelds or mashed-up consoles are considered wizards. Lyberty5 happens to have these skills, and shares the process of creating custom consoles for others to learn from.

The difficulty in the mods ranges from extremely simple to more complicated and complex builds. On the simple side, there are examples like this game cube that has a little Mario Sunshine themed addition

On the more complicated side, there are completely custom fabricated systems like these bluetooth headphones

It isn’t all just build tutorials either. In this episode, another maker gets a chance to show off their fantastic work and share tips in an interview!

The Raspberry Pi makes an appearance too. In this episode, he shows how to construct a tiny SNES around a Raspberry Pi Zero and USB hub to make a tiny gaming system.

I get ridiculously excited seeing people make things. I just want to revel in the creativity I see in makers. My favorite thing in the world is sharing a maker's story. You can find me on twitter at @calebkraft
