Beatles Iotacons Blanket From Granny Squares

Illustrator Andy Rash calls his extremely low resolution figures Iotacons. He’s amazingly good at reducing images so their simplest form, while still keeping them recognizable, which is why his illustration of The Beatles work so well as this beautiful blanket made from crocheted granny squares by Silvia Usón.

Once she had recreated the design, Usón finished off the blanket with a Celtic Knot Squares pattern by Ravelry user Carola Wijma.

It’s surprising how easy it is to identify each of The Beatles on her blanket, George’s shades are a dead give away!
