Using a combination of the Arduino controller, wood and cardboard cutouts, as well as Processing code, the “Biophionitos” project attempts to generate artificial life through the use of zoetropes that spin in an offsetting motion in order to give the drawings “biological” movements. Download the shapes, print them out, assemble them along with the video tutorial, and you can try out this cool project at home.
