Here is this week’s “How it’s made” – Pat writes “It follows the construction of tufted broadloom carpet through all its steps: tufting, dyeing, backing, finishing, inspection and shipping. it was the development of the manufacturing process called tufting in the 50’s combined with the invention of synthetic fibers that made the carpet industry boom. Today, some 99% of all carpet sold is made of synthetic fibers.” – [via] Link.
