In case you haven’t heard the name before, Spoonflower is a print-on-demand custom fabric service that can indelibly print your images on a roll of fabric up to 58″ wide. Andrew@CRAFT just spotted this promotional project from their guest author, Emma Jeffrey, showing off one of the many cool possibilities this service opens up: pillows, cushions, or other upholstery with customized satellite imagery of your location. Sure, the tutorial amounts to “order the fabric from us, then sew a pillow with it,” but hey, simple projects are gratifying, too, and these would make quick-and-easy personalized gifts.
