J Cloth Dresses

One of my favorite television shows is a British comedy called Peep Show. Watching it the other day, I heard one of the characters mention a “J Cloth,” and I had no idea what that meant.

So I looked it up, and not only did I discover what it is (a reusable household cleaning cloth, like a heavy-duty paper towel), but I happened upon photos of this amazing 16-year-old crafter, Ellen, who sewed herself not just one but two dresses out of nothing but J Cloths (and some tulle)! She made them for her GCSE art & textile project. They are adorable, especially with those snappy red T-strap shoes. Well done!
