Sit Inside This Speaker for the Best Bass Possible

You want a speaker with totally insane bass? Kevin Bastyr of Milwaukee Makerspace built a giant speaker that you can sit inside for that totally visceral bass that you might encounter at an actual concert.

You climb into the hatch at the top and recline in kind of a Lay-Z-Boy position with a 27″ display in your face and speakers all around. The high frequency audio is played by five ordinary speakers in a five-channel surround configuration, with sixteen 10″ high efficiency subwoofers playing the low bass. Since you are getting a 148.6 dB experience, you’ll want some earmuff-style hearing protectors. The sound is so intense that Kevin won’t let anyone use the 2,000-watt amp without supervision.
