If you’ve had stamp-carving on your crafty to-do list for a while, only to feel overwhelmed by the many different block materials and cutting tool choices available once you get to the craft store, this project is for you! Learn to carve a rubber stamp with supplies that you almost certainly have lying around your craft room with this easy-to-follow rubber stamp carving tutorial from Natalie at Doodlecraft.

While the idea of carving a DIY stamp isn’t new, I like that this tutorial doesn’t require any special stamp-carving tools to get good results. If you’ve got an eraser and a craft knife, you’re good to go! (Of course, you can also use a stamp carving block or linoleum if you’d prefer, and you can also fancy it up even more with an acrylic mount like the one shown in the tutorial. There are no rules here!)

Want to skip the carving all together? You can always check out our no-carve stamp tutorial right here on Make: CRAFT.
