Juniper sees the world a bit differently. In his own words: “I live in a giant pop up book.”

As you can see in the video, Juniper makes fantastic artwork from scrap cardboard, coroplast, and whatever else he gets his hands on. Not only do his creations look fantastic but they’re often even more creative than they first appear. Lets look at that giant bear for example. Notice that it has flowers for eyes (and glowing ping pong balls for added effect), and some prickly bits on the back? That’s because it is a bit of a play on the common bear cactus and its flowers. There was also a foxtail fox in the same vein.

As I was walking around Maker Faire Kansas City, Juniper really caught me off guard with the creativity and simplicity of the things he was making. If you get a chance you should explore his website to see what else he’s up to.
