I love the gorgeous fabrics and even more gorgeous embroidered birds from the Birdseeker Project by Sami Teasdale of Teasemade. Her most recent blog post, on an incredible embroidered self-portrait made on a fabric-covered radiotherapy shell, explains her connection to birds through her time dealing with salivary gland cancer. The story adds even more depth to her work, but it’s stunning all on its own. (Via Feeling Stitchy.)
