As a sewer for a long time, I always wondered how crafters used jelly rolls, charm packs, etc., that I often saw at fabric shops. As a quilter I now get it, but these pre-cut fabric options are very versatile in your craft room. I recently used one Moda “Nautical and Nice” charm pack to create an easy-to-make table runner for the Fourth. I simply divided the pack in half, sewed two long strips of squares to one another, and then the two long strips together. I put some batting in mine to act as a cushiony guard on our dining room table, backed it with a matching fabric, and then finished it some store-bought bias tape. I quilted this one, but you don’t have to at all.
