Today at CES, 3D Systems made a few big announcements. The most exciting of which is the release of the 3D Systems Touch™. The Touch uses haptic feedback to allow designers and gamers to interact with items in a 3D space. To help make this a multipurpose device, they have also released a SDK for developers to integrate Touch controls into their own apps.

3D Systems also announced their acquisition of botObjects, a company whose multicolor 3d printing technology will be integrated in the new CubePro® C Full-Color 3D Printer. This system mixes multiple feeds of filament within the extruder to create prints with numerous colors.  This eliminates the need to swap filaments or have multiple print heads.

Stay tuned for more as the Make team hits the floor at CES to get hands on with the Touch and many other new products this week.
