Here are some photos from Saturday’s EurekaFest activities. More than 200 high school inventors were blown away during the finale of EurekaFest, a multi-day celebration of the inventive spirit presented by the Lemelson-MIT Program. In teams, the students competed in a “heavy metal” lift-off at the Museum of Science, Boston, to build a wind turbine capable of lifting an aluminum trash can three stories high — the the ceiling of the MOS. Additional EurekaFest activities included presentations by award-winning student inventors, live air guitar performances, and hands-on wind-energy activities.
