I love me a good stew, but mine have always fallen flat; I can never quite get the meat to that golden, falling-off-the-bone stage. This recipe for divine braised lamb shanks finally solved my problem! I don’t have a slow cooker, but I followed the tip at the bottom and stuck my dutch oven in, well, the oven for close to three hours, and we were literally licking our plates. (I highly, highly recommend making the gravy suggested at the end of the recipe.) This would be a perfect St. Patrick’s Day dinner if you’re not planning corned beef!
