Looking for a way to cook hot dogs on the go? Well, now you can leave the portable grill at home and pick up a can of Pringles and a skewer instead, with this truly innovative solar hot dog cooker tutorial from Instructables user Cat Science Club.
Basically, the shiny interior of the Pringles can works as a makeshift solar cooker that can heat up a frank that’s suspended on a skewer between the lid and bottom of the can. Apparently, a temperature of 170 degrees was reached on a cloudy day, but it should be noted that hot dogs are cooked before packaging, so this cooker really just heats the wiener to make it more palatable. Of course, the real genius of this contraption is that your dog should be done by the time you finish the chips!
