No Brainer: Put Bacon and Sriracha in Mac and Cheese

IMG_0173

Macaroni and cheese, for some people, is the ultimate comfort food. That ooey gooey warm cheesey goodness, made even better with a generous squeeze of ketchup. Can you tell I am Canadian?

You could call this homemade recipe a grown up version of the Kraft Dinner of my childhood. The hot dogs and ketchup are replaced with bacon and Sriracha sauce. Definitely a bolder taste for the adult palette.

Cassie is a true tinkerer when it comes to working in the kitchen, and has developed this mouth watering recipe that I personally cannot wait to try. She’s got some great tips for how to make your macaroni dish a success. You can get the full scoop over on Back to Her Roots.

If you are as adventurous as Cassie and love to play around with ingredients and understand the science behind cooking, then you should definitely check out the book Cooking for Geeks by Jeff Potter, available in the Maker Shed.
