Slice a Banana Before It’s Peeled


Here’s kind of a fun trick to do with kids: slice a banana before it’s peeled, using a needle. I think there are a couple ways to accomplish this – sometimes a needle and thread is used. Then when you peel open the banana, voila! It is magically sliced already.
I chose this particular video for the funny little 1930s song that accompanies it: “I Like Bananas Because They Have No Bones,” by the Hoosier Hot Shots.
