How-To: DIY Yarn Tassel

yarn-tassle

For someone who doesn’t knit, I own an inordinate amount of yarn. This yarn tassel craft from Jacks & Kate is a great way to use up that yarn and create something colorful to hang around the house.

Tassles also make great additions to bookmarks and on top of a wrapped gift. I love the colors in this variegated yarn, which makes me want to go out and buy more. See the problem? If you’re feeling thrifty and want a mix of colors, try blending samples from different yarn skeins you already have to achieve a multicolored tassel.

This project is quite simple, and can me made in just a matter of minutes by both kids and adults. A great craft to do while sitting and watching Christmas movies! Ready to get going? Click here for the full tutorial.
